Book Your San Marcos River Getaway

Son's River Ranch is a family-only riverside resort on a private stretch of the 72° spring-fed San Marcos River. Whether you're planning a single day on the water or a weekend in an A/C Cabin, every booking starts here.

    Three ways to book

Start with the option that matches your trip. A Day Pass reserves riverside cabanas from $49, covered picnic tables, or add-on tubing wristbands for a full day on the river. An Overnight stay gets you an A/C Cabin with four full beds, a private fire pit, and walk-on river access on 150 private acres. Tubing is the fastest path to Ultimate River Fun Wristbands with unlimited tubing and kayaking, parking, and our private shuttle. Combine a day rental with an overnight stay and the second booking is 25% off — the discount is applied automatically at checkout.

    What's included on the ranch

Every booking includes free parking, private river access with a walk-on launch, and entry to our pet-free, family-only ranch. A/C Cabins add air conditioning, real beds with linens, a fire pit, and a picnic table just steps from the water. Our private river shuttle keeps the float effortless — paddle down, hop on, repeat. The river itself is spring-fed and stays a steady 72° year-round, with a gentle current, small rapids, and no dams — the safest float in the Texas Hill Country for kids, grandparents, and first-time paddlers.

    Plan your trip

We're 45 minutes from San Antonio, 45 minutes from Austin, 20 minutes from New Braunfels, and roughly 2.5 hours from both Houston and Dallas — an easy drive for a long weekend or a day trip. Use our plan your visit guide and property map to map out your stay, browse current specials for seasonal savings, and complete liability paperwork on our waivers page so check-in is quick. Cabin check-in is 3:30pm and check-out is 11am, which leaves plenty of time on departure day for one more float. Bigger crew? See our story and ask about multi-cabin bookings for reunions, birthdays, and church groups. Visiting from south Texas? Our San Antonio glamping page has city-specific drive tips and packing suggestions.
